Biblical Spiritual Exercisesfor Supernatural Walk with Jesus
Dr. Bruce Allen defines “Translation by Faith” as “moving supernaturally by the Spirit of God for His purposes,” and that “spiritual catching away” is Translation, e.g. the Apostle John was caught up in the Spirit to write the Book of Revelation (Rev. 1:10-13); whereas “physical catching away” is translocation, e.g. Philip was physically taken away supernaturally after baptising the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:39-40).
The Lord Jesus taught Dr. Bruce the 3 core keys to entering the supernatural realm by Faith:
1. You are Light
2. Acts of Faith
3. Sanctified Imagination

1 You are Light - Opening Spiritual Portals
All born again children of God have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. This makes us one with the Lord Jesus in Christ. We are created in God’s image (Gen. 1:27; Eph. 4:24). Like the Lord, who is Light (1 John 1:5; John 8:12), we are a being of Light (Matthew. 5:14), “because as He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17)! As a Light, we have the same frequency of light, which enables us to open the spiritual portals and walk supernaturally with the Lord.
2 Acts of Faith - Activating Spiritual Connections
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen … But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Heb. 11:1,6) A step of faith is a step of connection with the spiritual realm, making the manifestation of spiritual things a reality. “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” (James 2:17) When we make actual contact and connection with the spiritual realm through faith, it will bring about the manifestation of spiritual things.
3 Sanctified Imagination - Entering the Spiritual Realm
The imagination is a real spiritual organ, it’s the gateway and channel through which we connect with the spiritual realm and bring forth spiritual manifestations. The Lord tells us, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Prov. 23:7); “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matt. 5:28) God created the imagination so that we could meet the invisible God there and bring down the presence of heaven. The sanctified imagination is the gateway to the Kingdom of God. When we exercise our imagination, we move in the invisible spiritual realm until spiritual manifestations become a reality! We must "sanctify our imagination" to prevent the enemy Satan from using our imagination to put unclean things and images into our minds, which become the entrance for evil spirits.
In short, when we grasp the fact of "You are Light", we can sense our own "Light being" through sanctified imagination, and then realise the "Light manifestation" through faith, thereby entering the supernatural realm!
Methods of Biblical Spiritual Exercises
Building Intimacy with the Lord Jesus
Set aside a “sweet time” just for you and the Lord. Insist on connecting with the Lord during this time every day. Pray, worship, meditate on the Lord or His Word “in your heart”, meet the Lord with your imagination, and “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Ps. 46:10) Spend time with the Lord and become familiar with His voice, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27); “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
Pray quietly in your heart, focusing on the Lord Jesus
Sit or lie down comfortably in a quiet prayer place where you will not be disturbed. Close your eyes and pray quietly, meditate or pray in tongues in your heart. The quieter your body is, the more you can feel your inner spirit man. Shift your consciousness to your inner spirit man and be consciously aware of your feelings. Do not let your mind go blank. Fix your eyes on the Lord Jesus with your imagination, "see" His face and meditate on His face. Look into His eyes, "see" the light He emits, and try to feel His light shining upon you as you look at Him.
Exercise Method
Proclaim + Imagine
5-10 minutes per step
exercise at the same time
every day
Words have supernatural power.
The Word of God is Spirit and Life with Authority!
First, engage the spiritual realm with the Word of God.
Then enter by Sanctified Imagination.
First, proclaim and meditate on specific words of God in your heart, and then "see“ them with your imagination. After familiarising yourself with the proclamation, close your eyes and use your imagination to visualise each proclamation; "see" the "image" it evokes, meditate on its connotation, let it come alive in you, and internalise it into your life. After the proclamation, use your imagination to enter the exercise section.
Record your spiritual observations and revelations, as well as any feelings, sensations, sights, or sounds you experience.
Pre-exercise Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for delivering me from darkness to light.
I long to see You and enter Your Holy of Holies.
Cover me and my family with Your blood and
Put a hedge of protection around us and our home.
I declare that my home and all that fills it and dwells in it
belong to the Lord.
I pray that Your blood cleanses my mind, heart and body,
and fill me with Your love and peace.
May the Holy Spirit guide me and my family into all truth.
We are willing to submit ourselves completely
to Your Will and Plan.
Please grant me the experiences of
walking with You supernaturally.
I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Amen!
Step 1: Sanctifying Your Imagination
Proclamation:
I am a new creation in Christ; old things have passed away, all things have become new. This new man is made according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. The blood of Jesus cleanses my mind and sanctifies my imagination, so that I can focus my eyes on the Lord Jesus.
Exercise:
Close your eyes, pray quietly in your heart, and “imagine” the precious blood of Jesus cleansing your mind and heart.
Scripture References:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10); “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17); “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Eph. 4:23-24); “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14); “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:2)

Step 2: Gazing at the Lord Jesus
Proclamation:
The Lord God gives me the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, illuminating the eyes of my heart, allowing me to “see” the glory of the Lord, and be transformed into His image, so that I will be like the Lord Jesus, appearing with Him in glory .
Exercise:
Fixing your eyes on the Lord Jesus with sanctified imagination, and ‘see’ the glory of Jesus shining upon you.
Scripture References:
“The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…” (Eph. 1:17-18); “The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light... “ (Luke 11:34); “We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Cor. 3:18); “When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” (Col. 3:4)

Step 3: Divesting Garment of Flesh
Proclamation:
My old man (flesh), with its passions and desires, has been crucified with the Lord Jesus. I now put off my garment of flesh and put on Christ, shining and holy, like the image of the Lord.
Exercise:
Use your imagination to ‘see’ yourself taking off your ‘flesh’ (the old man) as if you were undressing, and revealing the strong light within.
Scripture References:
“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Gal. 5:24); “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,” (Col. 3:9-10); “You put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Eph. 4:24) ); “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing…” (John 6:63); “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Gal. 3:27)

Step 4: Seeing the Shining Spirit Man
Proclamation:
The Lord Jesus is Light, and in Him there is no darkness. The Lord is in me, the light of my life, and I am in the Lord, a child of light. As Jesus is, so am I in this world. Like the Lord Jesus, I am the light of the world, and there is no darkness in me.
Exercise:
Use your imagination to "see" your shining spirit man (new man) in the Lord.
Scripture References:
“God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5); “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4); “who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power…” (Heb. 1:3); “…as He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17); “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” (Eph. 5:8); “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matt. 5:14)

Step 5: Stepping Out in Faith
Proclamation:
Like the Lord Jesus, I am light, and walk in the light. I am a foreigner in the world, and I now step out of the natural world into the spiritual realm by faith.
Exercise:
Use your imagination to ‘see’ yourself ‘stepping out’ in the form of light.
Scripture References:
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1); “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Heb. 11:6); “You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” (Eph. 2:19); “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” (John 17:16); “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Rom. 8:19)

Step 6: Entering the Heavenly Realm
Proclamation:
I am a Child of God. I come from God, and I am a legal heir to the Kingdom of God. I now enter the heavenly realm with my identity and authority in Christ and come before the Throne of God.
Exercise:
Use your imagination to ‘see’ yourself going through the Gate of Heaven to the Throne of God, worshiping Him with the angels.
Scripture References:
“Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You.” (John 17:7); “If children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…” (Rom. 8:17); “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” (Matt. 25:34); “…as He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17); “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” (Eph. 1:4)

Step 7: Meeting the Lord in Heaven
Proclamation:
Glorious God the Father has translated me into the Kingdom of His beloved Son Jesus, and I am seated with the Lord in Heaven. Here I am, Lord, please tell me Your will and grant me to walk with You supernaturally for the Kingdom of God, just like Adam, Eve and Enoch.
Exercise:
Use your imagination to ‘see’ yourself meeting the Lord Jesus in Heaven.
Scripture References:
“If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7); “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”(Col. 1:13, KJV); “Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Heb. 1:3); “And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:6); “..., ‘Here am I! Send me.’” (Isa. 6:8)

God is a Spirit and a supernatural God. It is normal for children of God to walk under the open heavens and bring down supernatural signs and wonders, but only if the following ten prerequisites are met:

- Believe in the Lord and be born again
- Fix your eyes on the Lord Jesus
- Submit to the will of God the Father
- Perceive the truth of “you are light”
- Walk with the Lord by faith
- Sanctify the imagination
- Wait upon the Lord quietly
- Develop spiritual senses
- Discern the spirits always
- Focus with intent, persevere with expectation
